When should I activate the safety device on the BD Vacutainer® UltraTouch Push Button Blood Collection Set?

A.

The BD UltraTouch Push Button Blood Collection Sets, is designed to be activated while the needle is still in the patient’s vein, after all required blood collection tubes have been filled.

Q.

Are the blood collections sets available with a Pre-Attached Holder and completely sterilised?

A.

Yes, the BD Blood Collection Sets are available with or without a Pre-Attached Holder that are fully sterilised by Gamma Irradiation.

Q.

Can BD Vacutainer® UltraTouch Push Button Blood Collection Set be used for intravenous administration of fluids or blood collection procedures?

A.

Yes, the device can be used to administer intravenous fluids for short-term (up to 2 hours) and for blood collection. Please refer to the Instructions For Use document for further information.

Q.

What needle gauges are available for the BD Vacutainer® UltraTouch Push Button Blood Collection Set?

A.

BD UltraTouch Blood collection sets are available in 21, 23, and 25-gauge needles, with and without the pre-attached holder. All BD UltraTouch Blood Collection Sets have Extra thin-wall technology that can enable a faster blood collection.
