The BD BBL™ Vacutainer® anaerobic specimen collector is the only media-free device available for collecting anaerobic specimens. The media-free design helps minimize the sample dilution that may occur in media-based products and eliminates the potential for nonviables that occur in some transport media.
Organism viability
The BD BBL™ Vacutainer® anaerobic specimen collector keeps anaerobic bacteria viable for up to 72 hours.
Built-in oxygen-elimination system
The collector activates when the plunger is depressed and includes a reliable color-change indicator to ensure that anaerobiasis has been achieved.
Convenient packaging
The sterile collector is packaged in a peel-apart envelope designed for use in the OR.
