Sample preservation
The lyophilized urine maintenance formula can maintain the bacterial population in the urine specimen for a period of up to 48 hours at room temperature at levels comparable to those urine specimens without additive, held under refrigeration for the same period of time.
Ease of use
BD Vacutainer® Plus C&S Boric Acid Sodium Borate/Formate Urine Tubes are 4.0 mL draw volume. A minimum fil line of 3.0 mL is indicated on the label.
Mercury-free design
BD Vacutainer® Plus C&S tubes are mercury free.*
Dimensions and volume
The tube measures 13 mm x 75 mm, and 430 mL.
Stopper
The tube includes a conventional stopper.
