BD Insyte-N Autoguard shielded IV catheter

Attend to small veins, limited access sites and low venous pressure

The BD Insyte-N Autoguard shielded IV catheter includes all of the features of the BD Insyte Autoguard shielded IV catheter in a 0.56-in catheter length. With the push of a button, the needle instantly retracts—reducing the risk of accidental needlestick injuries. The catheter is also made with BD Vialon biomaterial, which is designed to recover after kinking to help provide longer dwell times and therefore, minimize restarts2.

Push-button shielding

BD push-button needle shielding technology is demonstrated to reduce needlestick injuries by 95%.1*

BD Vialon biomaterial

This unique proprietary biomaterial softens up to 70% in the vein, enabling longer dwell times2† and reducing the chance of mechanical phlebitis by up to 50%.2†

Improved first-stick success

BD Instaflash needle technology on the catheter's 20-G, 22-G and 24-G sizes incorporates a notched needle that may improve first-stick success and reduce painful hit-and-miss insertions.
