Overzicht

De BD PureHub™-desinfectiedop fungeert als een fysieke barrière tussen IV-lijnen en is geïndiceerd als een desinfectiehulpmiddel voor uitwisselbare, naaldloze Luer-aansluitingen voorafgaand aan infuustoegang.

BD Purehub™-desinfectiedoppen maken deel uit van het volledige BD® Vascular Access Management (VAM)-assortiment dat is ontwikkeld om kathetergerelateerde complicaties te helpen verminderen.

Het gebruik van desinfectiedoppen wordt ondersteund door het 2014 Compendium of Prevention Recommendations from the Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America (SHEA)1, The Joint Commission Central Line-Associated Bloodstream Infections (CLABSI) Toolkit: Valve Disinfection guidance2, de 2021 Infusion Nursing Standards of Practice3 (INS) en de Royal College of Nursing Infusion Therapy Standards4.

BD PureHub™-desinfectiedoppen desinfecteren met behulp van een gesteriliseerde 70% IPA-oplossing, waarmee binnen 1 minuut na aanbrengen het aantal bacteriën met 99,99% (> 4 log) wordt verminderd.#†

Veiligheid

De BD PureHub™-desinfectiedop vormt een continue fysieke barrière tegen contaminatie gedurende maximaal 7 dagen, mits deze niet wordt verwijderd.*†

Naleving van INS-richtlijnen

Desinfectiedoppen die 70% isopropylalcohol bevatten worden ondersteund door de INS 2021 Guidelines3 voor passieve desinfectie van naaldloze connectoren. 

Compatibiliteit van het hulpmiddel

De BD PureHub™-desinfectiedop werd ontwikkeld voor compatibiliteit met naaldloze connectors, inclusief maar niet beperkt tot de BD SmartSite™ naaldloze connector, de BD MaxZero™ naaldloze connector en de BD Q-Syte™ naaldloze connector.
