The Vacutainer one use holders are packaged in cases of 1000 and bags of 250.
It is the date of manufacture.
BD recommends converting from the reusable BD Pronto™ Holder to the Vacutainer one use holder (reference number 364815). This is in compliance with the OSHA Safety Health Information Bulletin Disposal of Contaminated Needles and Blood Tube Holders Used for Phlebotomy (SHIB 10-15-03) which recommends single use of blood tube holders. For users that choose to continue using the BD Pronto™ holder, contact Technical Services (1-800-631-0174) for more information.
