BD-Canada and the PWHL Join Forces to Support Women’s Health and Empower Communities

Publish date: Nov 26, 2025

MISSISSAUGA, ON – BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company) (NYSE: BDX), a leading global medical technology company, today announced a new partnership with the Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL) to advance women’s health, inspire future athletes, and strengthen communities across Canada.

BD-Canada is proud to stand alongside the PWHL in spotlighting the importance of women’s health and equity in care, while celebrating the role athletes play in inspiring confidence, leadership, and resilience for women nationwide.

“As a company committed to empowering women, driving women’s healthcare innovation and positive health outcomes, BD-Canada is proud to partner with the PWHL and support the incredible athletes who are breaking barriers and redefining what’s possible,” said Ivy Parks, President at BD-Canada. “Highlighting women in sport creates a ripple effect that extends far beyond the game, empowering others to prioritize their health, speak up for themselves, and strengthen their communities.”

The partnership builds on BD-Canada’s broader commitment to advancing women’s health, including initiatives such as the BD Breast Cancer Walk & Talk, which brought together employees, partners, and community members to raise awareness and funds for Breast Cancer Canada earlier this year.

“This is a truly unique partnership, one centered on advancing women’s health and strengthening communities,” said Chelsea Purcell, Sr. Director of Corporate Partnership, PWHL. “Being part of BD-Canada’s Breast Cancer event was inspiring, and together we’re using the power of sport to help create a healthier future for women across Canada.”

The BD & PWHL partnership focuses on three shared commitments:

●       Championing women’s health – Promoting equitable access to care and advancing positive health outcomes.

●       Empowering women through sport – Supporting professional athletes who inspire women to pursue their goals with confidence.

●       Strengthening communities – Raising awareness and fostering resilience through initiatives that support women, patients and caregivers across Canada.

Together, BD-Canada and the PWHL are helping to shape a future where women’s health and empowerment are prioritized. From advancing equitable access to care to inspiring the next generation of athletes, this collaboration reflects a shared vision of stronger, healthier communities across Canada.
