The optional medication syringe labeling system provides safety checks at the preparation and administration stages of medication use.  This system aims to address medication safety labeling concerns in a manner consistent with The Joint Commission (TJC) and American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) recommendations (1,2,3).
