Becton Dickinson India Private Limited and Bard India Healthcare Private Limited (collectively referred to as ‘Company’) are glad to announce reduction in Maximum Retail Price (MRP) to its valued distributors, channel partners, customers, and hospitals following the recent decisions of the GST Council announcing the reduction in GST rates on a wide range of pharmaceutical and medical devices, effective from September 22, 2025.
Key changes affecting our products
- The GST on various medical devices manufactured and marketed by our Company has been lowered from the existing 12% / 18% to 5%.
- The new GST rates will be applied to all the supplies made on or after September 22, 2025. Irrespective of whether the supply is made directly by the Company or through its distributor or hospital network.
- The reduction in GST rates necessitates a reduction in the Maximum Retail Price (MRP) of the products where there has been a change in the GST rates.
- In accordance with the GST Law and to support the objective of the Government towards reduction in prices of essential goods for the common man, the Company has revised the MRP of its product and the list of revised MRP has been circulated to all the channel partners (including hospitals) to ensure that the benefit of reduced rates is passed on to the customers.
Implications
Reduced MRP for consumers*: The benefit of these GST reductions will be passed on to end customers through a commensurate decrease in the MRP of all the products where there has been a reduction in GST Rates, in compliance with the provisions under the GST Law.
*Please note that old stock with the previous MRP may be in circulation during this transition period. In compliance with regulatory guidelines, the reduced MRP is available through the price list to all stakeholders.
