Dr. Kumar Rohit serves as Business Director for India and South Asia for the Interventional segment of BD (Becton, Dickinson, and Company), a leading global medical technology company headquartered in Franklin Lakes, New Jersey. In this role, he is responsible for driving the overall performance of the three business units, which include Peripheral Intervention, Surgery, and Urology & Critical Care.
In 2017, when BD completed its acquisition of C. R. Bard, Inc., a leading medical technology company in the fields of Oncology, Peripheral Vascular, Urology, and Surgical specialty products, Rohit was the Associate Director of the Biopsy & Peripheral Intervention business unit. Dr. Rohit joined Bard in 2013, as Business Unit Manager initially serving the Bard Biopsy Systems and subsequently, he was made responsible for the Peripheral Vascular business too.
Dr. Rohit has an experience of over 22 years in the healthcare segment. Prior to BD, he was Business Development Manager at Johnson & Johnson Medical India. He has worked in various marketing and sales as well as training roles in his prior stints.
Dr. Rohit is a postgraduate veterinarian with an MBA from MDI Gurgaon. He is passionate about constantly improving the standard of care for patients by providing technologically advanced products and solutions to hospitals.
In his free time, Dr. Rohit likes to listen to music and go on long rides on his motorcycle.
