Sudhakar Mairpady serves as the South Asia Regulatory & Government Affairs Director at BD, (Becton, Dickinson, and Company), a leading global medical technology company headquartered in Franklin Lakes, New Jersey. In this role, he will be responsible for leading regulatory compliance, government affairs, and public policy.
Sudhakar is an experienced public affairs and regulatory leader with over 30 years of experience in Pharma, Cosmetics, and the Medical Device sector with a focus on regulatory approbation strategy, shaping public policy, and regulatory strategies, maintaining government relations, as well as taking up initiatives in support of industry issues. He is also the lead auditor for standards - ISO 9001; 2015, ISO 13485 -2016, & ISO 14179-2019.
Prior to joining BD, Sudhakar served as the Director, Regulatory and Government Affairs at Philips India. In his past roles, he has worked in the Regulatory and Quality team of Medtronic, AstraZeneca, Menon Pharma, and Anglo-French Drug Company amongst others.
Sudhakar earned his B. Pharma and M. Pharma from the Government College of Pharmacy Bangalore. He has also completed an Executive Development Program in Project Management from XLRI, Executive Post Graduate Certificate Program in Public Policy Management from IIM Kozhikode and Post Graduate Diploma in Management from IGNOU.
Sudhakar is passionate about social service and giving back to society. In his free time, Sudhakar pursues gardening as a hobby.
