Features and Benefits
Contents not made with preservatives

Like all of our prefilled flush products, the heparin solution is not made with preservatives.

Sterility and shelf life

The heparin prefilled flush products feature a sterile fluid pathway. Stored at 20°C to 25°C (68°F to 77°F), the 10U/mL concentration has a shelf life of 18 months and the 100U/mL concentration has a shelf life of two years.

Barrel design
The syringes have a consistent 10-mL syringe barrel diameter, which may help lower the risk of catheter damage due to injection pressure.
Compliance with INS guidelines

Using a prefilled syringe product and locking with heparin aligns with one of the INS 2021 guidelines for Vascular Access Devices (VAD).1
