Overzicht

De BD Vacutainer® Culture & Sensitivity (C&S)-buisjes zijn ontworpen voor kweek- en gevoeligheidstests van bacteriën in de urinewegen. Metabole veranderingen van urineanalyten en overgroei van bacteriën kunnen worden voorkomen door toevoeging van fixatiepleisters.2

Met BD Vacutainer® C&S-buisjes kunnen urinemonsters voor kweek- en gevoeligheidstesten zonder koeling tot 48 uur* worden bewaard, waardoor 'fout-positieven' worden verminderd en monsters worden gestabiliseerd zodat deze beter overeenkomen met de patiëntmonsters ten tijde van de afname.3

Bewaring van monsters

Ons gelyofiliseerde conserveermiddel (boorzuur, natriumformiaat, natriumboraat en mannitol) behoudt de monsterintegriteit bij kamertemperatuur gedurende maximaal 48 uur*.

Gebruiksgemak

Het vacuümsysteem met een minimale vullijn (van 3 ml) bevordert de juiste verhouding van additief ten opzichte van urine, mits correct gevuld.

Gesloten systeem

De buis kan contact met het monster en lekkage tijdens het transport helpen voorkomen en helpt uw pneumatische systemen droog te houden.

Bewaring

Monsters kunnen zonder koeling tot 48 uur* worden bewaard.

BD Vacutainer® C&S Preservative Urine Tubes voor kweek en gevoeligheid zijn kwikvrij**.

Afmetingen en volume

Er zijn twee buisconfiguraties beschikbaar:

  • 13 mm x 75 mm en 4,0 ml
  • 16 mm x 100 mm en 10,0 ml
Stopper

Het buisje is voorzien van een BD Hemogard™-stopper.
