Overview

What is the Neoflon™ Pro IV Cannula used for?

Accessing small and fragile vessels is challenging. Having to worry if the catheter will have to be removed prematurely, and if you are protected should not add to the challenge. That is where the Neoflon™ Pro IV Cannula can help.

Based on the BD® Instaflash™ needle technology and using proprietary BD Vialon™ biomaterial, Neoflon™ Pro IV Cannula is designed to access smaller, more fragile vessels with care and precision; all that while protecting clinicians against needlestick injury.

Features and Benefits

Available in 24-G and 26-G cannula sizes

Easy to hold and stabilise

The ergonomic design of this 24-G or 26-G cannula with its unique wing clip supports a familiar insertion technique for enhanced comfort and control.

Visual flashback in the catheter

Neoflon™ Pro IV Cannula incorporates the Instaflash™ needle technology, visually providing immediate feedback of successful vessel entry, which may reduce the number of insertion attempts.

Longer dwell times

Neoflon™ Pro IV Cannulas are made using proprietary Vialon™ biomaterial, which softens in the vein to enable longer dwell times,1* minimising restarts, and has clinically demonstrated to reduce the risk of phlebitis by up to 69% compared to fluorinated ethylene propylene (FEP)2 and up to 32% compared to polyurethane (PUR).3

Needlestick injury protection

Neoflon™ Pro Safety™ IV Catheter, an advanced version of Neoflon™ Pro IV Cannula, incorporates a passive needle shield technology that automatically covers the needle after cannulation, protecting against needlestick injuries.

Together, we all play a part in preventing vascular access complications.
