As part of our ongoing efforts to provide security, reliability and availability for your BD products, we test and approve applicable Microsoft® patches that Microsoft identifies as being Critical or Security related. Critical and Security are categories as defined by Microsoft when using Windows Server Update Services (WSUS).

BD recently identified an issue with Microsoft Updater that may prevent the timely and effective installation of Microsoft security patches on some Pyxis MedStation™ ES devices. We have partnered with Microsoft and identified a resolution that will fit into your regular maintenance schedule as part of your normal patching routine. BD will add additional items to the patch management system that will be downloaded to your devices. During your next scheduled restart, the fix will take effect, ensuring your devices continue their scheduled patching routine.

Customers that maintain patches independent of BD automated delivery should ensure these actions are performed as the acting responsible entity in order to maintain the correct security posture of the system (s).
