The BD Hypak™ for Biotech Glass Prefillable Syringe platform has been specifically optimized for use with biopharmaceuticals. This comprises improved container/drug compatibility, container/device compatibility and cosmetic quality.1,2

Drug compatibility

The BD Hypak™ for Biotech Glass Prefillable Syringe is equipped with low tungsten residue levels and available with highly pure elastomer components, reducing potential risks of drug/container incompatibility.1,2

Device compatibility

The BD Hypak™ for Biotech Glass Prefillable Syringe has been optimized to assure compatibility with secondary devices, such as autoinjectors. It features specification of key interface dimensions, increased flange resistance and siliconization regimes optimized for autoinjector-facilitated drug delivery.4

Cosmetic quality

The BD Hypak™ for Biotech Glass Prefillable Syringe features an improved level of cosmetic quality. This is intended to help reduce breakage and remove rates of false rejects during final inspection. In addition, it helps make the syringe more breakage resistant.5
