Monitoring Surfaces for Hazardous Drug Contamination: Recommendations and Next Steps

In this activity, the faculty review recommendations from the Safe To Touch National Consensus Conference on Hazardous Drug Surface Contamination held in September 2020 and share approaches for improving awareness of best practices in monitoring surfaces for contamination with hazardous drugs within health systems, including patient care areas. Strategies for implementing procedures for HD surface contamination monitoring are also discussed.
