BD Hylok™ Glass Prefillable Syringe offers 1mlL, 3ml, and 5ml formats while other formats up to 10ml are under development, a data package to support development and registration, and a syringe verified for steam sterilization.1* The system addresses issues of needle disconnection, leakage, and syringe luer-lock adaptor rotation, considered as top priorities by hyaluronic acid manufacturers.3,5

Terminal steam sterilization
The syringe is designed for terminal steam sterilization at 121°C/20 minutes.1
Ergonomic and compliant design
The syringe is inclusive of human factors and the latest regulatory requirements as part of the connection design.2
Various sizing
The syringe is available in sizes from 1-mL long to 20 mL in different tip cap formulations and plunger stoppers.
Compatibility
The syringe is compatible with existing packaging and filling lines.
Screw-on tip cap
It features an easy-to-use and intuitive tip cap with proven user preference.3,4
Robust connection
It forms a robust connection with leading needleless access devices (NLADs).3,5
Luer-lok enlarged channel (LLEC)
The LLEC reduces risk of clogging in the syringe.
100% glass barrel
The all-glass barrel limits risks and costs associated with potential container changes.
New luer-lock adapter (LLA) thread design
The new LLA design reduces risk of spontaneous connector disconnection.5
New bonding technology
