Together We Advance: Building Stronger Communities in Georgia

Covington Downtown Courthouse
Overview

BD is proud to call Covington and Madison our home for more than 55 years. Here, we run our Urology & Critical Care headquarters, a Global Distribution Center, and two world-class sterilization facilities. Our dedicated BD employees – many of whom live right here in these communities – make a big impact every day by helping create, sterilize and distribute critical lifesaving devices found in nearly every hospital and healthcare facility across Georgia and the world.

While we’re proud of our local roots, we’re also part of something much bigger. BD is one of the world’s largest medical technology companies. We produce 37+ billion devices annually, operate in 200 countries and are supported by more than 70,000 employees.

Our purpose: Advancing the world of health, and it starts right here at home.

Our more than 1,000 Georgia folks aren’t just employees – they’re neighbors, friends, and community members. Whether it’s organizing food drives, honoring veterans, mentoring local kids, or working with local healthcare groups to ensure our neighbors get the care they need, they’re always stepping up.

We’re proud to partner with local groups and help our people make a real difference at home. For us, it’s not just about healthcare – it’s about being a good neighbor.
