Together We Advance: Building Stronger Communities in Utah

Utah Banner
Overview

BD’s journey in Utah began in 1956, and today, we’re still proud to call this community home. From our Sandy manufacturing facility, the world’s largest producer of intravenous (IV) lines, to our Salt Lake City business hub for vascular access innovation, our teams work every day to improve patient care. Together, BD’s more than 1,500 Utah employees produce hundreds of millions of products each year, supporting vital healthcare procedures and improving patient outcomes across the U.S. and in nearly 100 countries around the world.

We’re proud to be a part of Utah’s rich history of healthcare innovation and the critical role our Sandy and Salt Lake City sites play in BD’s global operations. From right here in Utah, we contribute to a company that is shaping healthcare worldwide as one of the world’s largest medical technology companies. In fact, BD globally produces more than 37 billion devices annually, operates in 200 countries and is supported by more than 60,000 employees.

Our purpose: Advancing the world of health, and it starts right here at home.

Our folks aren’t just employees; many have been active members of the local community for generations. Whether it’s assembling backpacks of food to address local food insecurity, inspiring students to explore medtech careers, supporting robotics competitions or collaborating with healthcare groups to improve patient care, they’re always stepping up to make a difference.

We’re proud to partner with local groups and help our people make a real difference at home. For us, it’s not just about healthcare – it’s about being a good neighbor.
