For more than 75 years, BD has proudly called Nebraska home – starting in Columbus with just 15 employees after a 30-state search that led our founders to the unmatched work ethic of this remarkable community. Shortly thereafter, we set our sights on Broken Bow, and since then, our team has grown to more than 2,700 employees across five locations statewide. To this day, it’s the dedication and deep-rooted Nebraska pride of our employees that help fuel BD's innovation, driving the creation of billions of essential medical products each year to ensure healthcare providers around the globe have the tools they need to care for patients. And thanks to their hard work, BD Columbus  is the world’s largest producer of syringes, needles and prefilled saline syringes. 

While we’re proud of our Nebraska heritage, we’re honored to play a role in something that stretches far beyond our borders. From right here at home, we contribute to a company that is shaping healthcare worldwide as one of the world’s largest medical technology companies. In fact, BD globally produces more than 37 billion devices annually, operates in 200 countries and is supported by more than 70,000 employees.
