Lanesha Minnix serves as the executive vice president and general counsel at BD, where she is responsible for leading the company’s global Law Group and Public Affairs functions. In this position, Minnix oversees BD’s legal strategy across its global portfolio, guiding the company through a dynamic regulatory environment and providing strategic counsel that supports BD’s long‑term growth, innovation agenda and focus on operational excellence. Minnix is a member of the BD Executive Leadership Team.
Minnix joins BD from Walgreens Boots Alliance (WBA), where she served as executive vice president and chief legal officer. In that role, she led the company’s legal, corporate affairs, risk, security and environmental, health and safety (EHS) functions, and was instrumental in guiding WBA through its $24 billion take‑private transaction, one of the largest in the health care and retail sectors.
Before her tenure at WBA, Minnix held several senior executive roles, including executive vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary at Ecolab, where she modernized global legal and compliance functions, strengthened governance frameworks, and partnered effectively with regulators worldwide. Earlier in her career, she served as senior vice president and chief legal officer at Flowserve and held additional leadership roles at BMC Stock Holdings, ABM Industries, Shell Oil Company, and Sprint. She began her legal career as a corporate associate at K&L Gates.
Minnix currently serves on the board of directors of Advanced Energy and is a respected voice in the broader business and legal community.
She holds a Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration from the University of Tulsa, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Saint Louis University.
