An integral component of the non-invasive Arctic Sun™ solution, ArcticGel™ Pads are designed to safely and accurately deliver high-quality targeted temperature management for all eligible patients beginning at zero days of life. The ArcticGel™ Pad’s proprietary hydrogel is highly conductive, skin friendly and easily applied and removed, providing constant contact with skin throughout therapy. Sizing is available for neonate, pediatric and adult patients.

Intended users include physicians, advanced practice registered nurses, and nurses1

For use by or under the supervision of trained, qualified medical personnel 

System should only be operated by personnel trained in accordance with the "checklist for training medical personnel" 4

Central venous catheterization should only be performed by personnel trained in anatomical landmarks and technique with knowledge of potential complications.

Two wrap sizes include Velcro tabs and adhesion points. Wraps must be prefilled before application as this reduces the risk of pressure ulcers. 1,2

Hydrogel pads contain no known allergens, and can be placed directly on clean, healthy skin 

Pre-filled silicone cooling pads should be placed around the patient’s legs, torso, and head

Aseptic technique required for invasive approach. Start-up kit (heat exchange coil, air trap, tubing) & catheter required6

Considerations

59-step process every 14 days. PPE recommended by the BruClean TbC disinfectant manufacturer's IFU3

Maintenance recommended every 6 months at a minimum, including replenishing the internal cleaning solution 

Requires use of a coolant that cannot go down drain and must be disposed in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations4

Routine maintenance requires corrosive chemicals, refilling, and inspection before and after each use
