Overview
Proactive venous solutions

We are committed to providing vascular access solutions to advance lives and the delivery of health care.

That’s why we developed smaller-diameter* PICCs that maintain high performance for infusion therapy by combining advances in polyurethane-material technology and manufacturing processes.

Features and Benefits
Go small. Think big.

"We developed PowerPICC™ Provena™ catheters based on nursing guidelines and clinical literature supporting the use of smaller-diameter* catheters1."

“The VAD selected is of the smallest outer diameter with the fewest number of lumens and is the least invasive device needed for the prescribed therapy.” — Infusion Therapy Standards of Practice, 2016. INS

Small catheters. Big performance.
Small catheters. Big performance.
Targeting the lowest catheter-to-vein ratio
  • Family of smaller-diameter* PICCs that maintain high performance for infusion therapy
  • Created through a combination of engineering expertise and polyurethane material technology
  • Proprietary polyurethane material technology allows for thin catheter walls and large lumen sizes (3 Fr and 4 Fr only)
  • Shortened 4 cm reverse taper (compared to BD PowerPICC™ catheters)
5 Fr PowerPICC® catheter VS 4 Fr DL PowerPICC® Provena™ catheter lumen comparison
5 Fr PowerPICC® catheter VS 4 Fr DL PowerPICC® Provena™ catheter lumen comparison
5 Fr TL PowerPICC™ Provena™ catheter
  • Smaller diameter* third generation 5 Fr triple lumen catheter with advanced reverse taper
  • The smaller-diameter* PowerPICC™ Provena™ 5 Fr triple lumen catheter maintains high flow performance.
  • To achieve this, we increased the wall thickness of the reverse taper region by 70% with no change to the outer diameter.**
A SMALLER ALTERNATIVE for your critical-care needs gives you:*
  • Multiple lumens - Multiple lumens for patient therapy needs
  • Short- and long-term infusion therapy  - It can extend across departments of the hospital
  • Bedside placement - Bedside placement with no CXR needed in adult patients if confirmed with Sherlock 3CG™ Tip Confirmation System (TCS)
  • Improved patient safety - Lower placement risks compared to acute CICCs to help improve patient safety2
  • Various dressing orientations - Advanced reverse taper accommodates various dressing orientations
  • Central venous pressure monitoring - Indicated for central venous pressure monitoring
Improved kink resistance by 28%** and has equivalent kink resistance to the PowerPICC™ 5 Fr dual lumen catheter.^
Catheter Trimming Device
Catheter Trimming Device
PowerPICC™ Provena™ catheter kits contain a catheter trimming device. The catheter trimming device is a single procedure device for trimming catheters with sizes ranging from 2 Fr to 6 Fr.
